HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

Department of English was established with the inception of the college in 2008.The department offers Language Courses and Skill Development Courses across programmes like B.A, B.Com, B.Sc. with various combinations. At present Sri M.Malleswara Rao is working as department incharge from October 2021. Under the guidance of principal DrK Vijaya Babu the department is regularly planning to conduct interesting and insightful activities to improve communication skills and boost confidence of under graduate learners.

VISION :

The 21st century demands communication and soft skills as the prerequisites for success and progression. Apart from knowledge in the chosen domains, the forthcoming decades demand the need of a holistic skill set, attitude and positive personality. The vision of the Department of English is to impart communication and soft skill to the students to make them empowered employable citizens with better values.

MISSION :

Knowledge of a subject is not enough to have a successful career in the modern world. Along with knowledge, one needs to have communication and soft skills to face the challenges in life. The Department of English aimed to enrich under graduate learners with oral, written and interpersonal communication skills through interesting and insightful activities.
